Practice Nurses

Lucy Hamilton
Lucy is our practice nurse manager and nurse practitioner/prescriber. Her particular areas of interest are wound management, diabetes, minor illness and care of the older person. Outside of the practice she is involved in practice nurse education. In her free time she enjoys running and cycling.

Sheila Long
Sheila is an extremely experienced Practice nurse & NMP. She has a special interest in respiratory conditions, women’s health/contraception, minor illness & minor surgery. She is available for appointments in the surgery on Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays.

Vivienne Davies
Vivienne works in the practice from 11am – 6pm on Tuesdays to Fridays and also at St Johns College from 8.30 am to 10.30 during term time. She has a great deal of experience as a practice nurse and college nurse and her special interests are travel medicine, Diabetes and childhood immunisations.

Rosie Humphreys
Rosie has recently joined the lovely team here as one of our new Practice Nurses. Her background is in District Nursing, which has provided her with a great deal of experience particularly in Leg Ulcer and Chronic Oedema Prevention/Management and Wound Management. Rosie also has particular interests in Mental Health and Wellbeing, and Sexual Health. She is in the practice on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursday mornings.

Eileen Marston
Eileen originally trained at St Thomas’s hospital as a general nurse and Great Ormond St Hospital as a paediatric nurse. She particularly enjoys her role as a Practice Nurse as it gives her the opportunity to care for patients of all ages with a variety of conditions. Eileen also has a special interest in mental health issues and how they impact on daily lives. Her working hours are Wednesday and Thursday afternoons and all day Friday.

Bernadette Meade and Vikki Eaton
Bernadette and Vikki are our experienced health care assistants, who are available for appointments every day, except Friday afternoons.  They are able to carry out blood tests that have been requested by one of our GPs or nurses, carry out ECGs, 24 hour BP monitoring, NHS health checks and flu and B12 jabs for eligible people. Bernadette also carries out consultations for patient checks and discussions prior to having a coil or IUD/IUS inserted at the practice.
